A Little Story...

Hello! My name is Heather. Welcome to a little bit of my story.

Like the song goes, I was a small-town girl, born and raised. However, the life was far from lonely. I was also raised on books starting at a young age, which led to my love of writing. Below, you will find a little bit more about me!

Just a small town girl...

I was born and raised in a small town where everybody almost knew everybody else. I was an only child and my mother introduced me into books at a young age, reading to me in the womb. I now completely adore books and am a self-proclaimed bibliophile. I began a running inventory of my books and currently own more than 600.

I graduated high school a year and a half early, then made the decision to go to college. I chose Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, PA.

With Big City Dreams

At college, I decided to major in Journalism & Public Relations with an emphasis on journalism. I had grown up on "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" and fell in love with Lois Lane and the work she did. I had always admired and respected Nellie Bly and knew I wanted to be a journalist for quite a few years at that point.

During my four years in college, I made friendships that I did not know would last me the rest of my life. I gained experience at a newspaper at IUP's "The Penn," a student-run newspaper. I adored my time and hated leaving it upon graduation.

Also at IUP, I found the love of my life and did not know the adventures our life would take us on, with many more to come.
